My Alternative Archive explores a story of tenuous survival:

a songbird of ancient heritage
from a time beyond measure
now endangered
tilting towards extinction
pulled back from the brink
by collaborative effort
through a transfusion of breath:
the mingling of two breaths
the human and the bird
the bird lives on
it is the lean of the one towards the other
the intimacy of the recovery
through the helping hand of the other
that gestures towards continuance
