Maitland Hill is a Noongar artist, based in Dwellingup, WA. Maitlands’s current solo exhibition, Wanjoo Boodjara, has recently been added to GalleriesWest’s Regional Exhibition Exchange Network and will be available to hire from March until December 2019.

Wanjoo Boodjara is on display at the Alcoa Mandurah Art Gallery until February 24.

Maitland was born in the country wheat belt town of Pingelly and spent his childhood and youth in the city of Armadale. Big family gatherings were very special times for Maitland, traveling to places like Boddington and having family gatherings.  Many happy times were also spent staying in Bannister and in Boddington with many uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters and cousins.

His inimitable spiritual connection to the land and his culture. Maitland is a self-taught artist whom has now refined his practice, creating beautiful and sustainable works, truly showing his cultural connections in a hectic world.
